Hi, I'm Musab Hassan
I’m Musab Hassan, an upcoming electrical engineering graduate from UBC with a strong interest in building things that solve real problems. I’ve always enjoyed learning by doing, taking ideas apart, understanding how they work, and rebuilding them into something better or more useful.
My interests sit at the intersection of hardware, software, and design. From fully custom ergonomic keyboards to homelab servers and personal software projects, I enjoy taking ideas from an early concept to something real, usable, and well thought out. I care a lot about how systems fit together, not just that they work.
Outside of classes and formal work, I spend a lot of time tinkering, learning new technologies, and building projects that push me beyond the classroom. I like experimenting, iterating, and learning by doing and I enjoy seeing ideas turn into real systems over time.
This website is meant to be a collection of projects, work, and experiments I’ve spent time on throughout my degree and beyond. It’s meant to document how I think, what I build, and what I learn along the way. You’ll find detailed breakdowns of projects, design decisions, and lessons learned all here.
Featured Projects
I’ve worked on a wide range of projects across hardware, software, and systems, both inside and outside the classroom. The projects highlighted below are some of the ones I’m most proud of and best represent the kind of work I enjoy doing. You can find a complete list of my projects, along with more detailed write-ups, using the navigation bar on the left.
Aurora Keyboard
Fully custom split ergonomic keyboard built end-to-end with CAD, 3D printing, PCB design, and firmware. Open-source and featured by my university.
